The AWS Course

The undergraduate course "Applied Business Languages and International Management" at the School of International Business of the University of Applied Sciences Bremen represents a in Germany unique and outstanding combination of microeconomic as well as macroeconomic subjects with a non-European business language (Arabic, Chinese or Japanese).

Facing rapidly increasing economic internationalization classic undergraduate courses are not equipped sufficiently to prepare students for their future global tasks. Especially dealing and trading with Arabic countries and the economic power houses of East-Asia requires fundamental knowledge of respective cultures and languages.

These constantly changing requirements are addressed with a combination of economic subjects and regional as well as language studies. Students will take part in macroeconomic and microeconomic lessons as well as law. Furthermore, they will receive an in-deep education in the language of their target country and attend lectures about local economy and culture. Two semesters spent abroad in the target region are an integral part that guarantees the high level of the course.
