The SiB Business Week 2011

For already 9 years students of the Bremen University of Applied Sciences School of International Business (SiB = faculty 1) have been organizing the economic congress “SiB Business Week”.

This event is organized by five courses of studies and includes the SiB-Congress, the AWS-Forum and the EFA-Symposium. The central theme of the congress is:

„Step into NEW Business – Networking. Economy. Worldwide.”

Nowadays the topic “Networking” is really important in society and it´s also more important for companies to integrate the internet, in first instance the social media and networks. Globalization and the constant change of economy combined with intercultural communication are main parts of our economic congress.

Over a period of three days national and international personalities working in fields such as economy, applied research and academia will approach the main topic of the convention from multiple perspectives in presentations and workshops.

The 2011 SiB Business Week is organized by the third semester class of ISTM in collaboration with AWS and EFA and ISWI courses of the Bremen University of Applied Sciences.
We expect about 400 attendants, which includes notable representatives of Bremen’s economy, members of the Bremen scientific community, international representatives as well as students and faculty of the School of International Business.of the University of Applied Sciences Bremen.

The aim of the SiB Business Week is to offer participants the opportunity to engage in productive debates on topics of concern related to the central theme, to share experiences and to broaden their horizons. Students have also the possibility to get interesting information about job opportunities or traineeships in our Career Center, which includes stands of the companies.

We are looking forward to your attendance at the SiB Business Week 2011.

The attendance of all presentations and workshops is free of charge (the evening events on Thursday and Friday are excluded).
